Each District may nominate one of their own for to be inducted into the LSOG Hall of Fame. The criteria for this nomination are such that only the "cream of the crop" of the District are eligible for nomination. The nomination itself requires endorsement by past LSOG Hall of Fame inductees, and approval by the majority of current inductees within LSOG.
BILL A JENNINGS

BILL A. JENNINGS
Bill Jennings has no lack of smarts, holding a BS in Chemical Engineering from Indiana Tech and an MBA from Tulane University.
All since the age of 50, he is an accomplished Runner and a Swimmer. When we say “accomplished Runner,” we mean as having run 85* marathons – in all 50 states, on 7 continents. He has also participated in HUNDREDS of New Orleans Track Club local races.
As a Swimmer he has swam in GNO District Events and in LSOG Events since 2001. He participated in the National Senior Games in 2003, 2005, 2007, and in 2009, in San Francisco. He placed 4th overall in the 50 yard butterfly event in the 2007 National Senior Games.
In addition to being a superb athlete, Bill has been the GNOSO Swimming Event Coordinator since 2007, and currently serves on the GNOSO Board of Directors.
Besides his involvement with GNOSO and active athleticism, Bill is involved with the Elmwood Fitness Center, the New Orleans Track Club, the 50 States Marathon Club, the Lafreniere Park Advisory Board and Tulane’s Ray Hester Club.
Bill’s goals are to remain healthy, fit and competitive. He also plans to (CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?) DOUBLE his participation in all 50 states. (Lotsa Luck, Bill. You already do 50 times as much as any normal human being.)
*Since this bio was initially written Bill has particpated in 3 more, bringing that number to 88 marathons. OOPS - make that 89 marathons - with the 2010 Mardi Gras Marathon being the latest.
