Whether you believe that the word "Golf" derives from "Gentlemen Only - Ladies Forbidden," or you simply believe that Scotsmen began playing the game at St. Andrews**, you must admit that this sport has universal appeal. It not only generates billions of dollars in sales and contracts all along the course, the sport has evolved into a multi-billion dollar generating game. This year's GNOSO Golf Event is held at the newly-rebuilt Lakewood Country Club Course - on the Westbank off Admiral de Gaulle. **By the way we don't believe that first statement for a minute - not only is our EVENT COORDINATOR is LYNN WOLKEN,a woman, but the FIRST WOMAN recorded to have played Golf - was a St. Andrews regular, Mary Queen of Scots. Caution, Ladies, don't follow in her footsteps. She is reported to have "lost her head."
