Weightlifting Event Coordinator Sean Sellers

Details:
This event is one of the "super-jock" events, but draws many everyday participants not generally thought of as "super-jocks." Although neither Vince Breaux nor Billy Caston participated this year, newcomers Jeffery Haynes and Todd treated spectators to very respectable - even record-breaking lifts. Tommy Capitano, Sr. was impressive, and Charlie Dimaggio SHATTERED THE RECORD for dead-lift in his age group, one of several records this year.

Thomas Gales and Lionel Guise are simply everyday people - yet the tabulation below shows they place First and Second in their age group - consistently. These guys, along with A.J. Griffin and Andrew Hebert, deserve a lot of credit.

Event Coordinator for this Event was Sean Sellers, one-time Program Director in GNOSO's infancy. We are happy to have a man of his abilities once again. The event was held at the Elwood Fitness Center. Sean was ably assisted by GNOSO's own Lou Reike, who represented the United States in Japan in the 1950s, and set an Olympic Record in the Clean & Jerk.
