On February 3, 2008 when Bill Klock passed away, Greater New Orleans Senior Olympics lost one of its finest. Bill was "the backbone" of the GNOSO Weightlifting, and the GNOSO Track & Field Events. In fact, the GNOSO Track & Field Event was named for him in tribute to his contribution to Senior Olympics.

As a continuing tribute to Bill, GNOSO has established a "Bill Klock Memorial Gift Fund," to which well-wishers may contribute. This Fund's proceeds will be contributed to charities in Bill's honor. GNOSO members who knew Bill are confident that this is what Bill would have wanted. Please contribute - we will list the names of all contributors here on this page.
